TVS Motor sales up 11% in June

TVS takes the road test

  TVS Motor Company has reported an 11 per cent growth in sales during the month of June 2016, with total sales increasing from 222,017 units recorded in the month of June 2015 to 247,085 units in June 2016.

Total two-wheeler sales were up 13.8 per cent from 210,920 units recorded in June 2015 to 239,957 units in June 2016. Domestic two-wheeler sales grew by 16.4 per cent, from 177,687 units in June 2015 to 206,784 units in June 2016.

Scooter sales of the company grew by 10.3 per cent, from 61,215 units to 67,539 units, while motorcycles sales grew by 7.6 per cent from 88,690 units in June 2015 to 95,465 units in June 2016.

Three-wheeler of the company registered sales of 7,128 units in June 2016 as against 11,097 units in June 2015.

The company's exported 39,112 units in the month of June 2016 as against 43,025 units in June 2015. Two-wheeler exports were at 33,173 units in June 2016 as against 33,233 units in June 2015.

During the first quarter of the current financial year, sales of TVS Motor Company grew by 12.5 per cent increasing from 638,000 units recorded in the first quarter ended June 2015 to 718,000 units in the quarter ended June 2016.

Total two wheeler sales grew by 15.3 per cent increasing from 608,000 units in the first quarter of the previous year to 701,000 units in the first quarter of the current year. Total three-wheeler sales registered sales of 17,000 units in the first quarter of the current year as against 30,000 lakh units in the first quarter of the previous year.
