The Yamaha FZ range gets a makeover

With the summer just around the corner, the temperature is already soaring. However, Yamaha is hoping to push the mercury even higher with its revamped FZ series.

Apart from the new paint and sticker jobs, the FZ-S and the Fazer now boast of a longer and wider pillion seat with a redesigned pillion grab handle. In order to keep the muck off the rider, the rear mudguard is now wider and larger and a new guard keeps your pants off the chain.

The LCD instrument console has been repositioned in such a way that the company claims it won't hinder the rider's field of vision at all.

The one thing the FZs desperately needed was some more engine grunt which, unfortunately, has proven yet illusive with this update as well. Does that mean that the FZ 250 is around the corner, then? Well, only time will tell.

The ex-showroom Delhi prices are Rs. 69,250, Rs. 71,280 and Rs. 76,380 for the FZ, FZ-S and Fazer respectively
