Schumacher to test GP2 car

Michael Schumacher is set to get back into racing form - the seven-time world champion will test a GP2 car at the Jerez circuit in Spain. The tests will be run in a GP2 car from the Supernova team.

The test will run from Tuesday to Thursday, and is reportedly approved by the FIA, however tests in an F1 car will only commence next month.

Schumacher also visited the team's factory in Brackley and was extremely impressed with how motivated the team is. In a post on his personal website, Michael wrote, ""I have been in the factory in Brackley now for two days and spent the time to get to know the engineers and the structures a bit better, and I am extremely positive surprised about how motivated everbody was. This a world champion team but it does not seem to be spoilt by success at all; it seems to be hungry for more instead!"

He also added that it was a pleasant surprise to find a lot of people speaking German, something he is not used to. Well, let's hope all of this comes together beautifully for the returning champ, then!
