There it is. Veedub's Polo has bagged the title of Car of the Year 2010. The Polo scored 347 points, with 25 jury members declaring it to be their favourite. However, it did face some serious competition from the Toyota iQ, which trailed just 10 points behind it.
A somewhat scaled-down version of the VW Golf, the Polo is the first CotY winner that Veedub has produced in 18 years (the Golf won in 1992). And though the Polo is shorter than its B-segment rivals, it scored high in terms of space and comfort as well as refinement and performance.
Good thing the Polo is India-bound then!
