Mercedes-Benz entered the inter city bus segment fairly recently and has already seen a lot of success. Both their 2-axle and 3-axle bus offerings are popular with bus operators. Now, Mercedes-Benz launched their first product in the city bus segment. They've been conducting trials with a few operators with low-floor buses and seem to have set the groundwork in place to make this launch a success. Along with the new product, Mercedes also inaugurated a new city bus manufacturing plant in Chakan, Pune. So expect to see these buses running around on the roads soon.
