The country's largest two-wheeler maker, Hero Honda Motors Ltd, today launched a new version of its biggest selling motorcycle, Splendor, priced at Rs 39,950 and Rs 41,950 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The new bike, Splendor Pro, has features such as a power start and a new engine and comes in two variants, the company said in a statement.
"With the all-new Splendor Pro, we have brought in a fresh round of excitement to our customers. We are confident that Splendor Pro will further augment our growth in the deluxe segment," Hero Honda Motors Ltd Senior Vice-President (Marketing and Sales) Anil Dua said.
The new bike will be available immediately through Hero Honda's network of over 4,200 sales and service points across the country, the statement added.
Commenting on the sales outlook for the festive season, Dua said: "We are also looking forward to maintaining the all -time high monthly sales numbers of the past few months. We have lined up a few more exciting launches in the run-up to the festive season."
In August, the company had reported a jump of 2.28 per cent in sales to 4,24,617 units from 4,15,137 units in the same month last year. This was the fourth consecutive time that the firm recorded more than four lakh dispatch sales in a single month.
The launch of 'Splendor Pro' comes on the heels of the introduction of the all-new Super Splendor in the market earlier this month.
