After going sixth quickest at the F2 test session in Silverstone last week, Armaan Ebrahim has now delivered another top-10 finish even as rains affected his Formula 2 pre-season testing program at the renovated Snetterton track.
Armaan, clocked a time of 1min 56.489 seconds, in the day’s fourth and final session that was marred by heavy rains as he completed 61 laps through the day.
'Our plans went a bit haywire due to the rain. We had planned on just running with old tyres in both the morning sessions and experiment on different chassis set ups before switching to new tyres in the afternoon and go for a quick time.'
'The morning session went as per plan, but it started to rain heavily in the afternoon and we could not get to use the new tyres. Others had already used their new tyres in the morning session and had set faster times. We will now work on the data in preparation for the first round at Silverstone next month (April 15-17),' said Armaan.
The 2011 season will be Armaan's third year in Formula 2.
