While challenging market conditions continued to affect sales of most automakers in India, Renault India has been one of the out performers in June 2013. Renault India recorded growth of nearly eight fold with 6007 units sold in June 2013 as against 787 units sold in the same month last year. And the credit goes to company's top-selling compact SUV Renault Duster, which accounted for over 75 per cent of total sales.
“The Renault brand is continuing to see increasing visibility and acceptability among Indian customers, despite a challenging market, said Sumit Sawhney, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales, Renault India Pvt. Ltd. “With the reliability and performance of Renault’s products, the widespread reach of our dealer network as well as the growing customer recognition of our brand, we are confident of continued growth in the near term.”
Renault India sold a total of 6,007 units, with the Duster accounting for 4,523 units, the Scala 772 units, Pulse 497 units, and Fluence 215 units.
