Tata is all set to start manufacturing the Nano Europa, a modified version of the Tata Nano, for sale in the United States and Europe.
A few details about the car have finally been released. The Europa will come powered by a new all-aluminium three cylinder engine that makes 60 bhp, as opposed to the 33 bhp twin-cylinder engine on the Indian Nano. The new engine will be mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
The Nano will grow in size too. The Europa is likely to be a full eight inches longer overall when compared to its Indian counterpart, which ought to free up considerable space within the car for passengers, in addition to helping it pass the Euro NCAP crash tests.
