Honda had a busy month. Especially since they had not one, but two launches – both of them facelifts. The new Civic preceded the City, with features such as a new carbon black reflector for the headlamps, a deeper and bolder front bumper, a thicker chrome strip for the grille and LED tail lights. On the inside, Honda have given the Civic a fuel consumption indicator, ala the City, a USB-in and cruise control option for the V variants. The car also comes with Elegance and Inspire trims with prices starting at Rs 11.8 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi for the basic variant, going up to nearly Rs 14 lakh for the fully kitted-out automatic variant. (The new Civic features in our extended Geography & Civic drive across the country in the October issue. Don’t miss it!)
The City on the other hand also comes with Elegance and Inspire trims, along with fog lights, chrome strips for the door handles, alloy wheels, a stylish exhaust tip, beige interiors and a new airconditioning knob for the V variant, while the S variant receives interior changes only. A new colour, Sapphire Blue, is also being offered. Prices for the new City range from Rs 8.37 lakh to Rs 10,24 lakh, ex-showroom, New Delhi.
