Bajaj seems to be on a roll lately. They took home the Indian Motorcycle of the Year award with the KTM Duke 200, but that doesn't mean they aren't paying the lower end of the market any attention.
They've just launched the new Discover 100T (The T stands for touring), from the same family as the Discover 125ST. It shares most of its looks with its larger sibling, right down to those gorgeous multi-spoke alloy wheels! It's certainly the looker in its class, that's for sure.
Mechanically, it's got a 102cc engine, as a result of which, it makes 10.2 ps of peak power, which makes it roughly 30% more powerful than the other bikes in its segment. It's also the first bike in its segment to come with DTSi technology on board. Unlike the competition, it's also got a 5-speed gearbox. That extra cog helps it achieve a top speed of 100 kph, too.
On top of all that, the Discover 100T comes standard with electric start, DC ignition powering a strong and flicker-free headlamp and Nitroxx suspension at the back to keep the ride comfortable.
With all this and a starting price of Rs 50,500 Ex-shorwoom, Delhi, the new Discover 100T makes for quite the value-for-money proposition!
