The YRA will be sold alongside the new Vitara Brezza out of their new premium NEXA dealerships. The car is expected to be launched in UK sometime in the summer of 2016 and the Indian launch will take place somewhere near this time. The car incorporates weight reduction techniques which will help it meet rigorous size and weight credentials of compact cars. The car will also feature DRLs, projector headlamps, floating roofline and rear LED taillamp cluster. Baleno might also be offered with an existing K-series and MultiJet/DDiS diesel engine.

Maruti is expected to bestow the Maruti YRA with the Suzuki developed 1.0-litre BOOSTER-JET direct injection turbocharged petrol engine. The powerplant is aimed to be powerful, as well as fuel efficient.
