2012 Auto Expo: DAF unveils CF truck

PACCAR brought down the DAF brand of trucks to the 2012 Auto Expo. The Netherlands-based DAF had the CF truck on display in India. The CF comes powered by a TX-6 180 hp engine from APIT Cummins and an AMW body. DAF also has a technical centre with APIT Cummins in Pune where new parts and components are being designed for the entire PACCAR group.

As of now there have been no plans to assemble or launch the CF truck in India as DAF is currently focussing on more short term goals that involve the technical centre.

The DAF CF truck comes in a series of two, three and four axle options. They also come as both single cabs, double cabs, rigids, tractor trailers, tipper and more. Globally these trucks have eight, nine, twelve and sixteen speed transmissions and engine options ranging from 220 to 510 hp.
