BMW India is ready to launch more than half a dozen models in the country, some of them facelifts, some of them brand new in the next one year. And it all starts here with the 6 Series Gran Coupe.
Hot on the heels of the new 3 Series, the 6 Series Gran Coupe enters the rarefied, four-door coupe club that has seen the likes of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Audi A7. Priced at Rs 86.4 lakh, ex-showroom, all India, the 6 Series Gran Coupe is offered in the 640d trim. The 640d is a 3.0-litre, straight-six, twin-turbodiesel that produces 309 bhp and 64.2 kgm of peak torque. It can dispatch the ton in just 5.4 seconds from a standing start and go on to hit a restricted 250 kph. The engine is mated to a six-speed auto transmission that is quick to shift and aids efficiency as well. Like the regular 6 Series, drivers can choose from four different driving modes (Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport and Sport +) with damper settings as well.
On the outside, the 6 Gran Coupe gets an M aero package, special bodywork colours, dark chrome tail pipes, black brake callipers and M door sill finishers for the optional M Sport Package. Tick on the luxury package and you get special comfort seats with active seat ventilation and seat heating.
The 6 Series Gran Coupe is offered with eight body shade options, three leather options and three interior trim options. The optional M package comes with two exterior body colours, alcantara leather and aluminium hexagon interior trim.
