The
route from Surat to Navsari (SH)has moderate to heavy traffic
depending upon the time of travel (prefer early morning 0530).
The tree lined road is good even for biking in the afternoon,
but it is advisable to keep your headlamps on at all times.
The road surface has deteriorated of late, but good enough
for biking.
Past
Navsari (NH), get on the fourlane highway towards Mumbai,
and take the turn off to Waghai from Chikhali. Good surface
after four laning, good speeding road. Heavy traffic.
Past
Chikhali to Waghai(SH), the roads are again tree lined, and
with lots of twisties. Good road surface. Moderate traffic.
Waghai to Saputara is a ghat section, with a mountain stream
running alongside. Moderate traffic.
Saputara
to Nashik is again a road with occcasionally broken tarmac,
and with moderate traffic.
Caution
Avoid the Chikhali Nashik section at Late evenings and night,
as it covers forest area.
