Sorry the price doesn't undercut anyone. Vento is very pricey car if you compare the features. The base version of City has all the goodies like music system, airbags,ABS, etc. Vento by comparison is an empty box. If you want an empty box might as well but Corolla Altis which sold at under on-road at 9.75 in December deal last year

what is on road price of 1.6 Trendline Petrol(manual)? Whether this model is readily avaialble to buy? How can I proceed to purchase this model?

After going through the roadtest, i can only say one thing that the Indigo manza is a better equipped and value for money proposition than the vento. The diesel is noisy and the vento lacks rear legroom, bluetooth and steering mounted audio controls, which is std equipment on other lower priced cars. I think they ought to include these features since a customer will pay close to 11 lakhs on road in pune (which is 2 lakhs more) for a highline diesel vento compared to manza aura plus quadrajet model.

Sandy, buy a car if you enjoy driving and travel not because your neighbor has one or its not a cab. VW as a brand is good just that its maintenance is expensive as the parts are still imported. Its worth any way.

Vento has really snatched VFM tag from Maruti. The pricing is too good for what is being offered in top end model. SX4 and Honda watch out. Just purchased SX4 AT and Vento pricing has put me in fix.

vento has climate control. six speed auto gear box. and superb quality interiors. its not a hatch with a boot. its italian designed by walter de silva. as a sedan! i think its extreamly value for money!

There is a huge price difference between trendline and highline. Trendline is featureless without remote entry, bodycolored handles, airbags, cd player, rear armrest, etc. Therefore, Highline looks the more desirable car. But 8.23 lacs for the Highline brings it near to price of Honda city 1.5 SMT, which is for 8.6 lacs and boasts of similar features. Would it make sense to go for VW given City's proven record, reliability, fuel economy and premium image. Also considering Vento's image is that of Polo+Boot.? ...I am waiting for Vento vs Honda city road test

My mother always says that I see only the negatives in any issue...so here goes...why no steering-mounted audio controls and why no dead pedal?? Otherwise pricing is great! Doc
