A couple of years ago, the V8 Vantage was given an elder brother with a V12 under it's bonnet. Well, now there's a roadster to add to the range of cars. It uses the same 6.0L V12 found from the coupe, but sheds the roof for some wind in the hair moments. And with 510bhp under tap, there'll be a lot of wind in your hair, and maybe eventually, only wind and no hair (god save us from that day).
The power will be fed to the rear wheels via a six speed manual transmission. The roadster has been modified a bit. It gets a revised rear decklid spoiler, a redesigned front air gurney and enhancements to the suspension in order to make it just as dynamically pleasing as its hardtop kin. That's what Aston claims. But we'll wait to pass a judgement till we have a go in this baby!
The leaked photo suggest only 101 cars will be made, with each car getting it's own plaque with a number etched on it. As with any limited edition version that you find on sale today, there's a healthy dose of carbon fibre all around. The mirror caps, center stack and gearshift surround have been given the treatment. The exterior features a set of new wheels designed specifically for the roadster.
The official announcement should be around the corner as well. Dare we say it, Aston's most beautiful car just got better!
