German car manufacturer Audi has updated its entire range A6 range, including A6 Avant, A6 Allroad, sporty S6 as well as the high-performance RS 6 A The range has been treated with some minor tweaks inside-out, as well as some mechanical changes.
Talking about the updations to the range, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Board Member for Technical Development at AUDI AG, said, “With the new Audi A6, we are writing the next chapter in an excellent success story. It represents innovative technology and Audi's premium claim. The Audi A6 sets new standards in many technical fields: the lightweight body containing many aluminum components, the powerful and highly efficient engines, the sporty chassis and the advanced assistance and multimedia systems.”
Carrying some subtle exterior changes, the range now comes with sharp body creases, single-frame front grille, revised headlights & taillights, tweaked bumpers, side sills and exhaust pipes. Also, headlights with LED technology or Matrix LED technology, combined with dynamic turn signals are on offer as an optional accessory. On the inside, some new color combinations, plus a new advanced infotainment system is on offer. The system benefits from a faster processor and can be optioned with Audi’s MMI navigation plus system and the MMI touch controller. High-speed LTE data transfer is available via the Audi connect option.
Two fuel efficient "Ultra" models featuring subtle aerodynamic tweaks and a series of weight saving initiatives are added in the A6 line-up. The model also features glass fibre-reinforced polymer (GFRP) springs on the diesel variant, that saves upto a good 4.4 kgs.
In terms of engine changes, all three TFSI and five TDI mills are now Euro 6 emission standard compliant. Audi has updated a range of four-cylinder, six-cylinder and eight-cylinder engines, which all are claimed to offer added fuel efficiency.
