TVS Motor Company reported a 30 per cent growth in profit during the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2015 at Rs 118 crore as compared to Rs 91 crore, a year ago.
Company's revenue rose by 15 per cent to Rs 2,815 crore in the fourth quarter from Rs 2,443 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year ended March 2015.
The company said that a comprehensive product portfolio with market acceptance of new products and steady growth in sales has enabled TVS Motor Company to post a 12 per cent revenue growth in 2015-16. During the year the company recorded total sales of 2.7 million units.
During the year ended March 2016, the overall two-wheeler sales of TVS Motor Company, including exports grew from 2.41 million units registered in the year 2014-15 to 2.57 million units in the year 2015-16.
Motorcycle sales during the fiscal year increased from 951,000 units in the year ended March 2015 to 1.02 million units in the year ended March 2016. Scooter sales during the period under review increased from 700,000 units in the year ended March 2015 to 813,000 units in the year ended March 2016.
Three wheeler sales of the company increased from 108,000 units in the previous year to 111,000 units in the year ended March 2016.
Total exports of the company increased from 413,000 units recorded in March 2015 to 454,000 units in the year ended March 2016.
