Toyota introduces 5-speed automatic for the Fortuner

Toyota Kirloskar have made changes to the Fortuner to increase the appeal of the vehicle in our market. Having sold more than 41,000 units of the vehicle to date since its launch in 2009, the company has introduced new features to the lineup.

First up, the 4-speed automatic on the 4x2 Fortuner has now been replaced with a 5-speed automatic version. This should improve driveability, performance and efficiency of the vehicle. In addition, the 4x2 TRD Sportivo and 4x2 MT TRD Sportivo which were limited editions are now part of the regular grade.

Thus the Toyota Fortuner is now available in the following grades:

4x2 Manual
4x2 Manual TRD Sportivo
4x2 Automatic
4x2 Automatic TRD Sportivo
4x4 Manual

The 4x2 AT is now priced at Rs 22.33 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi, the TRD Sportivo of this version is priced at Rs 22.93 lakh while the Manual TRD Sportivo is now priced at RS 21.96 lakh.
