The Pulsar 220 goes naked!

Bajaj has quietly gone and launched the naked Pulsar 220 - all the firepower and most of the features of the 220 F, but without the shapely fairing. Looks exactly like the 200, doesn't it? Other than the fact that it features the now-common styling, we can't think of anything that takes away from this motorcycle. It features the same 21 bhp motor in a package that weighs 148 kg, some five kg less than before, which should improve performance and make it handle quicker than before. All the right bits have been retained - the front disc gets the braided hose for improved braking feel, soft-compound tyres, rear disc brake and...well, everything else is the P200, really. The Pulsar 220 is available for Rs 69, 425, ex-showroom, Delhi, which is about three thousand rupees cheaper than the 220 F.

While at it, Bajaj have also announced a revised Pulsar 150 for 2010. It gets more power - 14.9 bhp@9000 rpm - made possible by a bigger UCD29 carburettor and a new intake and exhaust system that looks the same as before. Aesthetically, the bike gets clip-on handlebars in addition to the all-black treatment that it already comes with. All this increases the P150's price tag to Rs 60,020, ex-showroom, Delhi, an increase of around Rs 500 . Should help the P150 attract even more commuters to its fold, then.

Bajaj, Please give us something really new.Not the old wine in new bottle. Biking frieternity is having big expectations as KTM technology is with you.. Most of us waiting for a street fighter with FI and butter smooth engine which is comparable with hondas. Now you have the technology with you and we hope you can launch a real new FI 250cc street fighter for a price below 1 lakh.Be a model to others as you did in the case of pulsar.I assure the youth of india will support Bajaj and will be gtratful to you. Gud luck!!

Nautty , Naked in public is allowed for age less than 5 years, Same way RTO / Insurance Company expect Bike names should be changed by Manufacturer , there by Vehicle owners donot get any benifit out of Insurance after 5 years of usage.
