Maruti's plan to get into the Rs 2.8-3.5 lakh segment is expected to pay dividends with the Alto K10. What we know is that the Alto K10 will come in both LXi and VXI versions, with the LXi version likely to replace the existing Alto LXi. Here is a comparison chart of other cars and the Alto K10 and its likely positioning for you.

0-100KMPH timing is superb.Now there will be faster altos on road(i.e. more faster cars).

This is actually more exciting than I can think. Straight line acceleration is one thing but with 999cc engine you can sit on the 4th all day and still give cars that costs 2-3 times a tough time. If a 6 ft guy can fit in front and back then its a great move.

good thing is mileage and power to weight ratio, but the sad part is still the dynamics and handling. they didn't do much as Hyundai did from Santro to i10, even WagonR. It already said earlier even by BSM that old zen is still a better handler then A-Star, then why MS is hesitating to bring this model back. Old Zen's wider wheel track chassis is still b able to handle 1.3 liter 85 ps power, and the look is always evergreen even today.
