Tata Motors Group global wholesales in August, including Jaguar Land Rover, stood at 73,524 units. While its cumulative wholesales for the fiscal remained at 3,81,935 units. The tally for brand's commercial vehicles and Tata-Daewoo range remained at 30,536 units, whereas its cumulative commercial vehicles wholesales for the fiscal were 1,49,321 units.
The passenger vehicle sales saw five percent decrease in the month, stood at 10,975 units, in comparison to 11,564 units in August last year. Whereas the car sales remained lower by 6 percent at 8,229 units sold, up against 8,761 units in same month corresponding year. The UV (utility vehicles) sales were down by 2 percent at 2,746 units, as compared to 2,803 units sold in August last year.
Brand's cumulative sales of passenger vehicles in the domestic market for the fiscal, stood at 44,724 units, lower by 21 percent over previous year. While, cumulative sales of the cars witnessed 25 decrease in this fiscal at 33,450 units. The utility vehicles' cumulative sales remained at 11,274 units, 7 percent down by last year's 12,116 units.
2008-acquired Tata's sub-brand Jaguar Land Rover wholesales for the month stood at 31,650 vehicles. Jaguar retailed 4,658 units in the month, and its cumulative wholesales stood at 31,650 vehicles. The Land Rover wholesales for the month remained at 26,992 vehicles, and cumulative wholesales were 1,54,623 vehicles. The cumulative wholesales for Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal were 1,86,273 vehicles.
Tata's exports stood at 4,480 units in the month, down by 8 percent, up against 4,894 units in August last year. The cumulative sales from exports for the fiscal remained at 19,070 units, down by seven percent over 20,606 units in August this year.
