Tata's upcoming hatchback, the Kite, has been teased for the first time in a commercial featuring the manufacturer’s global ambassador Lionel Messi. The advert will be the part of Tata’s #madeofgreat campaign that will be aired throughout the world and boost companies global stature.
Kite will be available in both hatchback and sedan body styles and those would be competing with the likes of Celerio, WagonR, Chevrolet Beat, etc. As far as the sedan is concerned there are no direct rival for the time being and will lie in an all new territory. The teaser shows snaps of an orange coloured Kite, giving glimpses of the nose, headlamp cluster, tail lamps cluster and the rear door handle.

The headlamp cluster is a blacked out twin-pod unit with separate headlamp and indicator housings, while the signature Tata grille could be observed, though is more curvaceous now. The tail-lamp unit looks more contemporary from what the company has offered so far and has the red stop light underlining the clear glass.
The car is shaped at Tata’s design studios in Italy and United Kingdom and will be a global product. The car is expected to make its debut at the Auto Expo, but Tata could reveal it before that as the teaser campaign has already aired with another 3 months to spare before the Expo begins.
Initial impressions of the car look very compelling, at least the snaps and Tata is expected to price it handsomely. We are expecting a price range of INR 3.5 to 5.5 lacs. Watch Lionel Messi in Tata Motors Teaser
