Japanese car maker Suzuki will soon launch its latest sports sedan 'Kizashi' in India, a top Suzuki executive has said.

"The Kizashi is going to be sold in India. I do not think the launch in India is that far in the future," American Suzuki Motor Corp (Automotive Marketing and Public Relations) Vice-President Gene Brown said on the sidelines of the Chicago Auto Show here.

Brown did not give any further details about Kizashi in India since he is not in charge of the Indian market.

Kizashi, Suzuki's first entry into the all-wheel-drive sport sedan segment, arrived in dealer showrooms of North America in December last year and the company has so far sold about 300-400 units in the country.

He said, Suzuki commands half of the market share in India, which is a key market for the company, where it operates with its Indian partner Maruti.

Suzuki is showcasing all four trim levels of the 2010 model Kizashi at the 102nd edition of the Auto Show that began today and will continue till February 21.

The models on display include entry-level Kizashi S, priced between $18,999 and $21,749 and luxuriously appointed SLS model ranging from $24,399 to $26,749.

Maruti Suzuki sells various models in India, including the best-selling Alto, A-Star, Ritz hatchbacks, Estilo, Wagon R, Swift, Dzire, SX4 and the popular sedan Swift D'Zire.

Some thing GREAT IS COMMING that’s Kizashi, but when I saw Kizashi from front I thought a silent anaconda looking at me, eye catching projector head lamps elegant front grill and fresh designed alloys adds to great looks. With 2.4ltr eng. delivering awesome 180ps power is going to be great pack. Surly going to be ahead turner with its dual silencer at the back but hold your breadth for final price to be announced….

Kizashi market will all depend how competitively it is priced in India if the prices are on higher Side as compared to the other parts of the world, the chance of isolation from the product will be instant. KIZASHI means Something Great but will be great if it is rightly priced.

I hope I will be able to save up enough to grab one of those CBU units when they start selling it here,, I love the traditional styling and sporty looks.

As far as automobile concerned India is not behind any developed nations now and of course there are lot of customers looking for new models to buy especially Maruti brands. Hence any new car launch can be done in India as a word premier.
