General Motors has an alliance with Chinese company Wuling. Wuling makes the largest selling vehicle in China, an MPV called the Sunshine. And it is this vehicle that will be in India soon as GM's latest offering for the country and BSM spied it testing.
The new MPV will be priced approximately between Rs 4-6 lakh and will certainly steal some of the market share away from the Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo. It will also take on the Maruti Eeco and Tata Venture.
General Motors India will also make sure that the Sunshine will be powered by a 1.3 litre diesel engine that is reliable, refined and economical instead of the small capacity petrol engines doing duty in the Chinese market.
