In the last week of January, Mahindra quietly started rolling off the first of the facelifted Xylos from its production facility in Nashik, Maharashtra and what we have here are the first pics of the same vehicle.

Thanks to our good friends at team-bhp.com, we can now show you what the facelifted Xylo is going to look like. Ever since Mahindra first revealed the Genio pickup, speculation has been rife about the company working on a similar nip-and-tuck job for its MPV. And it seems to be heading in just a similar direction. New headlamp units with what appears to possibly be daytime running lamps on the bottom and a newer, less bulky grille have made an entry. The turn indicators now get amber treatment and are located within the headlamp receptacle.

A new bumper with what appears to be black scrape pads and a deeper air-dam make the facelifted Xylo appear a little more pleasing than before. The rear three-quarters are more or less identical, though there are new black scruff pads, the pillars have been blacked out and a new rear spoiler has been added on the E8 trim. The interior pics too don't reveal much, though the gear knob seems to be new as well as there have been a slight change to the design of the gear shroud and central tunnel. There are also new interior trim colours on offer, though we hope there is still an option for an all-black interior. We don't expect any major mechanical changes, especially to the motor, though we are hoping some alterations to the suspension and brakes have been made.

The overall range of the facelifted Xylo is expected to be be priced marginally higher than the current lot. Keep watching this space for more on February 8.
