Come December, you friendly neighbourhood Tata dealership will have received their stock of the updated Nano. The changes aren't drastic but are welcome nevertheless. Outside, the car sees the addition of a left side rear view mirror, new wheel covers and a chrome surround for the fog lamps on the top end model. Changes on the inside are pretty much limited to different fabrics for the seats. Most importantly, significant changes have been made to the sound deadening to make sure the cabin is a quieter, vibe-free place to be.
Some mechanical changes have also been made, including a revised ECU that apparently develops a bit more power and is more efficient, tweaked to develop up to 25 kpl, just like the Indigo and Indica eCS VX.
The launch is likely to be scheduled for the last week of this month. Prices of the Nano are expected to rise by 5-10 per cent on the back of these changes. You know where to come for more details about it.
