Rowan Atkinson is recreating the iconic scene from his world famous 90’s sitcom. Scene where Mr. Bean is out on the prowl for a new chair and upon purchase of the same, uses his eccentrically uncanny innovation to have it transported with the help of the Mini. The 60 year old left us with knots in our stomach, even years after the original airing of the show, when the episode finally hit the Indian TV screens. Now, after 25 years, the British actor took his lime green British Leyland Mini 1000 out to the streets of London and around the Buckingham Palace. The event was celebrated on Friday. Rowan was strapped on to the roof of the car, reminiscent of the original scene.

The actor was in his Mr Bean costume, complete with paint cans and a mop that also doubled as his pedal controls extension. The actor was accompanied by his trusty and lovable sidekick, Teddy.
The celebration featured a cake and had the actor greet his fans with his unique irreplicable expressions. The car featured twitter keywords #MrBean25 that help one access the miscellaneous feeds of this event. The first Mr. Bean movie was highly commercialized and was ruined by the implementation of the Hollywood formulae. “Mr. Bean’s Holiday” showed our beloved character getting back to its roots and managed to charm us very well. This might have been the result of Rowan taking back the creative control but a decade long gap to do so was unbearable for the fans. We hope that more installments make their way to us without these long separation.
