At 199,500 euros, the 911 GT2 RS isn't exactly cheap. For this, it loses 70 kg over the bog standard GT2 and even has door straps instead of hinges. But apart from that, everything else reads like a veritable dream.

For starters, let's talk numbers shall we. Nurburgring time of 7 minutes 18 seconds. 0-100 kph in less than 3.5 seconds and 200 kph in 9.8 seconds. A top speed of 330 kph and massive 325/30 ZR19 tyres to bring it to a halt. Still not impressed? Then here's some more - a 3600cc boxer six with twin variable vane turbos help the car produce an eye-popping 620 horsepower making it 90 bhp more powerful than the standard GT2. A power-to-weight ratio of 452 bhp takes it into a stratosphere reserved for only the creme-de-la-creme of supercars. In fact, it can even out-accelerate a Porsche Carrera GT, which until not so long ago was the uber Porsche in production.

On the inside, the car gets carbon fibre seats and alcantara lining for the gear knob as well as lightweight door panels. On the outside it's pure GT2 with added touches such as wider flared arches at the front, wider and lighter wheels, a rear spoiler made of reinforced carbon fibre that is now 10 mm higher and a new carbon fibre front lip that aids down force.

Which is all good, but will it make it to India? We think not, since most of the production is destined for Europe and some for the US. Also, there hasn't been an announcement on whether the car will be available as a right-hand-drive or not, though from what we understand the Union Government is looking at allowing cars that are only built in left hand drive formats to be sold in India. If that happens, then the GT2 RS could make it here, but for no less than Rs 2.5 crore. Worth it? Well look at the Nurburgring numbers of its competitors below and you will get a very good idea!

Porsche 911 GT2 - 7 min 18 seconds
Dodge Viper ACR - 7 min 22 seconds
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 - 7 min 22 seconds
Nissan GT-R - 7 min 27 seconds
