Maruti Suzuki India has launched a new revamped Zen Estilo with the new K-series engine and significant visual upgrades, further strengthening their small car lineup.
This new updated Estilo now has a 998-cc K-series engine which has a claimed fuel efficiency of 18.2 kpl (ARAI tests) and passes the BS IV emission norms.
A new transmission also promises better and more precise shifting. This transmission is a first among all Maruti products, the manufacturer claims. This product will be positioned in the A2 compact segment where Maruti Suzuki has a huge 58 percent market share.
The three-cylinder 66 bhp engine is the same engine that features in the A-Star and its lovely modern powerplant that we think will do wonders for the Estilo. The earlier generation of engines was also struggling to pass BS IV emission norms, so an engine upgrade was due.
The features list is upgraded too, with fog lamps front and back, wipers and washers at both ends on the VXi while driver airbag and ABS are an option on the same model. The manufacturer also claims fine tuning of the suspension for better handling and ride based upon customer feedback.
The interiors get a nice upgrade with a digital fuel display, new multi function display and a pleasing combination of curves, colours and materials are used inside.
Priced between 3.12 lakh to 3.66 lakh (both ex-showroom, Delhi), a host of new colour options are on offer to entice the buyer. Look forward to a BSM drive soon!
