Porsche has declared that the new Cayman, the third iteration of the car, is now 'lower and longer, lighter and faster, more efficient and more powerful than ever.' This two seater will come with two versions - the regular Cayman and the Cayman S. The new car now has a longer wheelbase, wider track and larger wheels too. This, the company claims, adds to the driving performance of the car, helping it outclass its rivals.
The mid-engined Porsche is powered by a 2.7-litre engine, which makes 275 bhp, and does the 0-97 run in 5.1 seconds. The Cayman S comes powered by a 325 bhp powerplant that goes from standstill to 97 in 4.4 seconds.
Expect this one to roll into showrooms within the first four months of 2013.
