Hindustan Motors has introduced the upgraded Mitsubishi Outlander 2012 in India. This is the second major update that the Outlander has received since it was first launched in the country in 2008.
The Outlander comes powered by a 2.4-litre engine that makes 170 PS and 226 Nm of torque making it suitable for both on-road driving and off-roading too. The Outlander also comes with a keyless operating system, a Rockford Fosgate premium 710 watt music system, has place for seven people in a row, which is probably the most significant change.
On the outside the car sports a new front grill that is jet-fighter inspired. The car also comes with ABS and EBD along with a technology called RISE (Reinforced Impact Safety Evolution). Adding to the safety kit are body and dual frontal airbags.
The new Outlander is priced at Rs 20.55 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
