Mclaren will be launching a slightly updated version of their MP4-12C sports car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed held at Goodwood in the UK. The car is being dubbed simply as the 2013 Mclaren MP4-12C and will come with 616bhp of power (up from the current 593bhp). Jenson Button will be present at the event and will run a prototype version of the production car up Goodwood hill on the 30th of this month. Other changes to the car include a few new paint options and a few options on the inside. All these changes should make one of the best sports cars in the world even better.
In addition to the road going prototype, Mclaren will also be displaying the 12C GT3 race car (remember the one with the wing at the back and aero package) in a unique livery. The livery supposedly highlights McLaren's support of the 'GREAT' campaign launched this year by the Prime Minister's Office and Department for Culture, Media and Sport. The GREAT campaign is designed to reaffirm Britain's international reputation and deliver long-term economic benefits through additional tourism, trade and education. Putting all that aside, you gotta say that the new paint job does look rather good.
