Loeb lobs another one!

Even though Sebastien Loeb dominated the start of the 2009 World Rally Championship, winning back-to-back victories in the first five rallies of the season, it really did look like Mikko Hirvonen might beat him to the title. But Loeb would have none of it. The Frenchman stamped his authority all over the Wales Rally GB from start to finish. Making it easier for Loeb was the fact that Hirvonen's bonnet came loose, obscuring visibility on the penultimate stage of the rally. This scuppered the Ford driver's chances and Loeb could yump to easy victory and take his sixth championship title too! Mikko had to be content with second place and and Loeb's Citroen team-mate Dani Sordo took third spot.
When will a Finn win the WRC title again? We expect Mikko's gritting his teeth and biding his time. Meanwhile, it's Loeb who is popping open the champagne bottle!
