This is the one SUV that everyone has been waiting for. The Mahindra Quanto has finally been launched. So what does the Quanto look like? Well, they weren't calling it a Mini Xylo for nothing. That pretty much sums up exactly how the Quanto looks - it's like a smaller version of the Xylo, the tail end chopped off and with the spare wheel mounted on the tailgate.
The Quanto comes powered by a 1493cc, Inline 3, twin-scroll turbo-diesel engine that makes 100 bhp at 3750 rpm and puts out a torque figure 24.47 kgm@ 1600-2800 rpm. The engine comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
Now the Quanto is a five plus two seater - two people can sit up front, three in the rear seat, with jump seats on the third row for two more people.
Lending the Quanto grip are 205/65 R15 tyres.
The Quanto comes with four variants C2, C4, C6 and C8.
The Quanto C2 comes priced at Rs 5.82 lakh, while the C4 comes at Rs 6.35 lakh, the C6 comes priced at Rs 6.86 lakh and the top-end C8 variant comes at Rs 7.36 lakh, ex-showroom Thane.
