Proving the statement wrong “Don’t fix, if it aint broke”, Land Rover has revealed 2016 Range Rover Evoque. Recently, the automaker also released the teaser of the SUV which will make its world debut at 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The biggest change in the new Evoque is embracing the new Ingenium engine lineup.
According to the automaker, since the inception of Evoque, the company sold more than 4,00,000 units. And with new model coming soon, the carmaker looks to add more figures in its sales chart. The 2016 Evoque now gets a redesigned front bumper, new bold grille, all-LED adaptive headlights and a new spoiler.
While on inside, the SUV now flaunts a new eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, DAB radio, forward-facing stereo camera and ‘All-Terrain Progress Control' similar to bigger sibling Range Rover Sport.
And as aforementioned, the SUV now offers a choice of two 2.0-litre Ingenium turbo diesel powertrains, developing power of 148bhp or 177bhp. The 148bhp engine delivers a fuel economy of 4.2 litres/100kms with CO2 emission of 109g/km while the 177bhp engine gives mileage of 4.8 litres/100kms and CO2 emission of 125g/km. On the concern of fuel economy, the 148bhp engine is 18 per cent more fuel efficient than the previous engines.
On safety front, the SUV features Lane-Keeping Assist, Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) and Attention Assist Estimation.
