Hey my 2 year old i20 crdi once did 190 kmph on a straight stretch in NH45, and anytime it does easily 170, and a little bit struggle to touch 180.. f.e for me 17 kmpl in highways, and 12 in city, with best possible sane driving manners. once you master the different gear rations unlike swift, you can beat any hatch or even 10 lak segment sedans. yes curb weight is heaviest among most sedans under 15 laks. heavier than CIVIC!!. Not a great handler though. 66000 kms done without a single engine complaint!

i20 is a very spaious and beats others cars .It looks very modern and attractive. It reaches 0 to 100 in 11.2 seconds which is even better than the new swift. It reahes a top speed of 174 kph also.

i20 is the fastest diesel hatchback in India. It has 90 bhp which gives at 4000 rpm.It has high speed stability and reaches 0 to 100 in 12.23seconds only.It has good interiors and is better than other cars like polo, figo ,swift, fabia and micra. It is very comfortable and it shares engine with Hyundai verna.

Modern diesels are much better to drive than petrol for you can get amazing performance with sipping econmy. I have CRDi Getz, and I regularly get 5.3/5.5 l/100 fuel consumption. However it has sufficient passing ability to compare with the 2litre Telstar I sold for the Getz. The two vehicles are similar in accelaration and top speeds for a me. However the Telstar handled better! I love my Getz, and I would consider an i20 before looking at any other car, if I was replacing it. Chrisb

What a bunch of bull. While the i20 is an excellent car, there's no way you expect us to believe it does 0-100 kmph in 11.2 seconds. I have checked many other automotive journals and websites, including TopGear, Zigwheels and many more, and all agree the 89BHP(90 ps) 1.4 CRDi hits 0-100 in 13.5 to 13.6 seconds. bsmotoring, check your facts before confusing buyers.

We invite doubting Thomas(es) to come join us on our road tests. We also invite them to record the test runs to verify them for authenticity. If our claims don't match your recordings, you have enough proof then to hold us by our throats.

Only to splurge that extra black money !!

11.2 secs ! 174 kmph top speed. seems to be a joke espacially for a car with power to weight ratio of 80 bhp per ton. 1900 rpm for turbo to spool making it a small lag and 2000 rpm for turbo in swift to spool up make it cumbersome ! And ya what about in gear accelaration ? Come on bsm ! Don't make this mag one of the most embarrasing ones to read. I know its not going to affect you guys but customers in india are not fools. Better charge us readers more for providing correct information rather than charging companies for publishing made up facts and false praises.
