The latest iteration of the Fiesta was launched recently by Ford, but the pricing meant the it wasn't as great a success as Ford has hoped it would be. They've now brought out a few new variants and reduced the price to remedy this.
The base variant is now called the Ambiente, which starts at Rs 7.23 Lakh, Ex-showroom, Delhi for the 1.5-litre petrol engine and manual transmission combo. The Diesel engine in this trim level brings the price to Rs 8.99 Lakh, Ex-showroom, Delhi.
Apart from introducing new variants, they've also simplified the line-up. The base is the Ambiente, while the next level up is called the Style. The top-end version remains the Titanium+ which comes with all the bells and whistles you can imagine, including leather seats on the automatic version.
Even the base version comes with a driver airbag, ABS brakes, power mirrors among other convenience features and this list only grows larger as you go up the ladder.
There is no change to the exterior though, but then again, the Fiesta has a fresh design that doesn't need any tweaking anyway.
The Fiesta is a much better buy now that the price has been dropped, here's hoping we see a lot more of them on the roads.
