These are the first pictures of the facelifted E-Class, headed to the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
Little is known about the car as far as technical details go, but the car is expected to get a whole bunch of four and six-cylinder engine options that will make the car a wee bit more efficient and kinder to the environment, possibly the introduction of Start-Stop system. A new version of the E63 AMG is also expected to follow suit in the coming months.
On the outside, the differences are the new fused twin headlamps to make it a single unit, a trend one can expect in forthcoming Mercedes cars as well. The new front air-dam is larger and lends the car some aggression too. New stylised tail lamps and rear diffuser lend the car a hint of sportiness.
On the inside, the instrument binnacle appears fresher and there are changes to the centre console as well to make the car look sharper.
The facelifted E-Class is expected to hit the Indian market latest by July-August 2013 with a minor revision to the price tag as well.
