Maruti Suzuki have revealed the prices of the facelifted Wagon R. The Wagon R is one of Maruti's most successful models to date, having sold over 12.34 lakh units since the car was first launched in 1999. It now starts at Rs 3.58 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi for the base LX version, going all the way up to Rs 4.42 lakh for the CNG (LXi) variant. The prices of the facelifted Maruti Suzuki Wagon R are as follows: Variant Ex Showroom Delhi (in Rs lakh) new Wagon R Lx 3.58 lakh new Wagon R LXi 3.88 lakh new Wagon R LXi (CNG) 4.42 lakh new  Wagon R VXi 4.13 lakh

The second generation Wagon R that was launched in 2010 has gone through a round of mild updates as well as changes to interior trim and the engine to improve efficiency. The company claims that it has now made the engine OBD II compliant and made other changes that have made the car eight per cent more efficient than before, taking the ARAI claimed figure to 20.51 kpl. Powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder K Series petrol motor, the power and torque figures stay unchanged and the car continues to be offered in both petrol and CNG variants.

The car gets a new, re-styled front bumper and grille with chrome treatment on LXi and VXi variants, while the front-grille has been re-styled to reduce wind roar. The fog lamp bezel design too looks different now.

On the inside, the changes include a new audio unit with USB connectivity, a beige and black interior combo and a new storage space just above the glovebox with a lid. There is no information to suggest that the passenger airbag has been removed to make place for this storage, so we will have to verify this physically. It also gets a day/night inside rear view mirror, a feature surprisingly not offered before.
