Mark Webber took victory in style at the Spanish Grand Prix, leading the race from start to finish. Unfortunately for the Red Bull team, who had been dominant all weekend, it wasn't a 1-2 finish. Fernando Alonso managed to take second place for Ferrari, while Sebastian Vettel finished third after Lewis Hamilton had a crash towards the end of the race.
Vettel was the Red Bull driver under pressure though, with Lewis Hamilton breathing down his neck for the most part of the race. Hamilton even managed to make his way past Vettel during the pitstops. Hamilton managed to pit later, and retained position ahead of Vettel. Then Hamilton set off in pursuit of Webber, but a series of fast laps from the Australian resulted in a 16 second lead, which no one could chip away at. Unfortunately for Lewis, he crashed at Turn 3 due to a broken rim on the second-last lap of the race.
It was a good race for Michael Schumacher. The seven-time world champion finished a season-best fourth place. Schumacher managed to overtake reigning world champion, Jenson Button, on his way out of the pitlane. Schumacher then proceeded to defend a hard-charging Button, for the next 48 laps.
It wasn't a particularly good race for Schumacher's team-mate Nico Rosberg who finished in 13th place.
