F1: Schumi says sorry

Michael Schumacher has apologised for the move he pulled on former team-mate Rubens Barrichello during the weekend's Hungarian Grand Prix. With just five laps to go in the race, and a hard-charging Barrichello in his mirrors, Schumacher was having to put in some defensive driving to ensure that the Brazilian wouldn't get past him. The last straw was when he chopped across track, squeezing the Williams driver nearly onto the pitwall. Of course, when the stewards observed the move after the race, they thought it was only fair to slap Michael with a 10-place grid penalty, what with Rubens stating that he had no desire to make it to heaven before Schuey and dubbing the move as 'crazy'.

Well, now it looks like Michael's changed his mind about the manoeuvre that he pulled. The seven-time world champion has admitted to being wrong, and also gone on to state that the stewards were right to penalise him. Schumi has said that he is sorry for the move and is also sorry for nearly causing a crash. He said that he had initially been in the heat of the action, but after having watched replays of the incident he has concluded that the move against Rubens was far too hard. He had no intention of endangering Barrichello with his move and is sorry if that is what he has done.
