Schuperman will be back in 2010! At least that is what reports are claiming. It has been reported that Michael Schumacher has signed a one-year contract to drive for Mercedes GP, with an option of extending the contract later on. Schumacher will get paid 7 million Euro for a one-year stint with the team. However, there has been no official comment from either Michael or Mercedes.
Schumacher recently told Ferrari president, Luca di Montezemolo, that there was a very strong chance that he would make a comeback with Mercedes. Montezemolo also stated that if Michael wanted to make a comeback to the sport, Ferrari would not stand in his way.
If Schumacher returns, he will partner compatriot Nico Rosberg. The Brawn-Schumacher pairing will also make a return. Ross Brawn, team principal of Mercedes GP, has played a big role in all seven world titles that Michael Schumacher notched during his F1 career.
