The 2010 Bahrain GP was a challenge for Michael Schumacher, what with the German competing in his very first race since his three year hiatus from the sport. But Schumi didn't put a wheel wrong. He qualified in seventh place and made up one position during the race, finishing sixth, and racking up eight points along the way.
Of his first race Schumacher said, "I am very happy with the outcome of the season opener. 6th position was very good for me, especially considering the fact how few times I was driving a F1 car since my retirment in 2006."
The seven-time world champion has also said that he is looking forward to the Australian GP. " I am sure Melbourne will help me to get into the rhythm even more. In any fact, I am really looking forward to it."
"Australia has always been one of the highlights in the calender of F1, this has never changed for me in all the years. As in previous times, I have been on the continent quite early and spend some nice days training, adapting and relaxing in order to be fit and rested at the race weekend.
The Grand Prix itself, as I said earlier, is one of the ones you look forward to. I have a lot of good memories about Melbourne, and most of the times we saw interesting races," Schumi said.
We say, good luck Schuey!
