Renault is going to continue in Formula 1. The team has sold a large stake to Luxembourg firm Genii Capital, giving them the financial security they needed in order to continue in the sport. The French car maker has also announced that it will continue to supply engines to Red Bull Racing for the 2010 season of F1.
While Renault and Genii Capital will run the team in a partnership, the team will continue with its name and corporate identity.
However, this move has put some amount of uncertainty on Robert Kubica's future with the team. While Kubica signed a deal to race for Renault a few weeks earlier, the Polish driver's manager, Daniel Morelli, wants clarification about the deal, in order to secure Kubica's future in Formula 1.
