Lotus is an old hand in F1 and now that they're making a comeback into the sport, they've decided they don't want green horns piloting the car. They've announced that Jarno Trulli and Heikki Kovalainen will be their drivers for 2010. Malaysia's Fairuz Fauzy will be the team's third driver.
For the third time in his career Trulli finds himself working with Mike Gascoyne, who he'd worked with at both Renault and Toyota, which he admits is one of the reasons he decided to come aboard at Lotus.
Kovalainen on the other hand claims that he was vastly impressed by the rapid progress that the team was making. That, and perhaps the fact that he didn't really have too many other options, convinced him to join the team.
