F1: Karun Chandhok qualifies 24th

Despite the fact that he could not take part in any of the three free practice sessions, Karun Chandhok will start the 2010 Bahrain Grand Prix. The Indian driver, racing for Hispania Racing wasn't able to take his car out on track in the practice sessions as it was suffering a hydraulic failure. However, as the team has managed to put the car together in essentially fifteen days, an exception was made. It was decided that if five laps were completed in qualifying, Karun would be able to start the race for HRT tomorrow.

Taking to the track in the car, Chandhok managed to complete seven laps. He was off the pace off his team-mate Bruno Senna, but not by all that much. Of course, Senna had managed to clock seventeen laps yesterday, while the seven laps that Karun did during qualifying are the only runs that he has done in the car. Tomorrow, Chandhok will start the race from 24th and last on the grid. Good luck Karun!

I can't say that I don't agree with you on that. On raw talent, he's not the quickest. Not by a mile. But he's here now, and if he can do a decent job, well, I'll be glad. No one will give someone exceptionally bad an F1 car to pilot! Besides, Narain was no great shakes. Sure he could be brilliant, but he was so inconsistent, it all came to nothing.

My friend I may agree with you that all race car drivers aspire to get into F1. But what we contemplating is whether he is worthy of that seat? Like Mayawati is in politics. She is aspiring to be the PM of the country...but is she worthy of such a post, just because she is aspiring to be one?

Please stop this dodo from making an ass out of himself in F1. He is the classic example of 'all fart no shit'. In last season's GP2 he finished 18th @#$%^!....and he still wants to be a F1?!!! What a waste of sponsorship money! Narain has a much better record and hope he gets a second chance.

Nonetheless, he's made it to F1, and he might do a good job. And all race car drivers aspire to get to F1, so he's done nothing wrong.

Dumbass Crashed!! Lol.. No Wonder he doesnt race for Mallya.. He looks like a chimp.. Karthikeyan atleast looked good while loosing.. This guy probably has this snide grin on his face as everyone else laps him. He probably wont let anyone lap him though cause he'd crash before that.
