Bernie Ecclestone declares that the deal for the French Grand Prix to make a return to the Formula 1 calendar has been completed. The race is set to take place at the Paul Ricard track (pictured above, albeit with an Audi R8 LMS on it) from 2013 to 2021, meaning that a France will host a grand prix every alternate year.
While earlier rumours suggested that Spa-Francorchamps was to take France's slot during off years, there hasn't yet been confirmation of this yet.
Ecclestone also stated that an agreement had already been made in terms of the financial aspect of the deal. France has not hosted an F1 grand prix since 2008, when the Felipe Massa won at the Magny Cours track. The 2009 edition of the race was cancelled due to financial trouble.
