Ah, never mind those heart attack-ing price tags Ducatis come with. What you see here will probably be priced between Rs 5 to 6 lakh! Well, letting the cat out of the bag might not be a very bright idea, but what to do - we’re excited too!
This is Ducati’s motorcycle for developing markets and will be available in India, in addition to almost the whole of South East Asia. The 795’s formula is simple - package traditional Ducati charm with less exotic suspension, wheels and instrumentation, and sell it for cheap! So gone is the single-sided swingarm and in comes a more conventional unit. No fancy wheels on this one either - it gets pretty plain-looking three-spoke design rims. But forget all of that.
What doesn’t change is that famed Monster silhouette. You still get a fat tank to grip with your knees and a slinky seat unit that disappears under you. And let’s not forget the twin booming exhausts and the traditional trellis frame - in red! And at the heart of the motorcycle is that 803cc (yeah, why 795?) air-cooled L-twin that puts out 85.82 bhp@8250 rpm and 8 kgm@6250 rpm, all transferred to the road via a six-speed gearbox. Enough for fun times our roads, we say!
